I am finally seated in front of my laptop! Well, needed to update you girls on the pageant and more news and happenings in Lavender Closet.
About the night when the girls dolled up...
It was fun! For the first time, most girls turn up and they dressed up to their nines. They were gorgeous, pretty, exudes sexiness in their outfits. I must say, even Mr Ling was impressed with the effort these girls made. I was in my best as well! I wore this toga long gown with a HUGE rose and sequinns from waist all the way down and Mr Ling was in his best suits and his funny skinny tie... Unfortunately, i was unable to snap photos for you girls to see. I think some of the darlings took pictures of them and do send it to me so i can let the other girls see how pretty you were tt night!
A debrief on the night... Well, I was happy to see tt some of the girls were noticing how the pageant girls walked and behaved themselves. I am sure they have learnt quite a bit from the event. As for me? I am v impressed with the participants for tt nights event. From they way I see, they actually BOUGHT their own gowns and they come by thousands of dollars. They also flew from various countries to compete in this. They were totally confident, not afraid of the crowd and whistles and cheers. I really hope when our night comes, it will be equally OR more fabulous than tt! As the full itinerary is will be out soon, I am getting my hands busy on new Lavender Luxe designs HOWEVER....
All hopes were crashed by a stupid mistake my factory made
Alot of loyal customers called to me recently to check if we really produced our products. Because they have seen many designs on other websites/shops. I am not going to name who and where because I felt tt it is unethical to 'expose' them. Not entirely their fault. It was my factory who betrayed me and sold ALL my designs to the public. It was very unfortunate because we paid for the 1st sample piece at a premium price and tons of tweeking and changing before the final product came. ALL these came with a price. and we bore the cost. All because we want all of you to enjoy enclusive designs by Lavender Closet. I must stress tt these designs were specially designed to make us shapier and pretty. I was very devastated to know tt others has been selling and even cheaper. To top it up, some even mentioned tt whatever Lavender Closet has, 'we will have it too, and MORE' Very depressing... Then I started to think about the older batch of plus size online/shop owners. I must say the older batch are more ethical and professional. We work the HARD way to build our customer base and not use underhand means. As much as i am very hurt by this hoo-ha, but we must carry on our lives right?
Anyway to summarise it, we have spoken to factory and has compensated us (seriously, not enough to compensate the total loss). We have stopped our partnership with her and thankfully, we found another one quickly. But we need time to start producing new items. I am very frustrated with the outcome of this because everytime when things seems to be getting better, it slams right smack in our face and we r struggling hard to stand firm. It will be over before you know it, therefore, hang on with me for a while, while we get the new designs up quickly for you to enjoy okay?
(i really do not wish to tell these to all of you initially, if not some of the them will say I am using reverse phsychology to lure you girls to come. But we really felt tt you girls need to know the truth)
No pictures will be up anytime soon because
we felt tt for this collection we really need to protect our designs as much as we could. Lesser designs I must say, but focus is still on dresses I must say :D The shorts are still on sale. only left with the larger sizes like 42-48" can pop by to enjoy the discounts!
